Ausphotography Competition Prizes : Members opinions wanted

Up till now I have given away mostly Hard Drives as prizes on Ausphotography, along with the occasional memory card, sensor cleaner and a few other bits and bobs.

Whilst Seagate and Estyles offer up superb prizes for the Seagate Competition and Photo of the Month respectively, I also offer up some when extra funds from AP allow.

So what would YOU like to see as prizes offered on Ausphotography.

I voted 'other' as all of the above are fine. You could also include AusPhotography merchandise as a prize including special comp only versions of stuff.
    Cheers

A 645D and a couple of prime lenses to go with it?

I voted Voucher for prints (canvas, large print etc) but hard drives are also excellent

Everything you've listed is good. I like the print voucher idea, but I think they are all good.

Thanks for asking Rick, I think (And would be great if we had one) the vouchers for site sponsors is a ripper, say for example, if Phil was to bring his van along to the wild west, that would be a treat, all the others, prizes that is , are great.

I ticked other, as we have no site sponsors that offer a learning experience, I appreciate we have a great resource in Stu @ Quality Camera tho. So a quality HD and or a voucher for large canvas prints is great, just need to get that perfect picture, dam it.

P.S. May be a Super 15 trophy for the Tahs, but don't tell mudman, it's our little seceret, OK. LOL

Depends what you call a learning experience. As you mentioned, Phil travels around with his photography school and we have a new advertiser, Damien Symonds, who offers online photoshop training.

    I voted other
Being a bumbling beginer - what i need most would be one on one time with a professional who can go over my gear and what i'm doing
This would probably make the most difference to my pics,

More gears would be good too

Voted vouchers for site advertisers. They cover a lot of products, and it would help give them exposure.
One thought out of left field, any prize winner could chose a donation to a charity or community organisation.

I went for other.. I like the idea of AP merchandise. The good thing about that is, you win a great prize, and give some free advertising to this great site.
The other thing could be the choice of the going prize, or the merchandise.

    Just my thoughts...

Which reminds me Rick.. Have you ordered any XXXL polo shirts. I'll have one when you let me know.

Great idea Geoff, AP shop stuff would be great. That also reminds me Rick, any chance of adding a fleecy top to the shop? So often I head out to shoot or for meets, and I'm looking for something warmer that goes over the AP shirt! Add a fleecy jumper or jacket, and I'd be the first order.

I would be happy just to be able to win a photo of the week/month comp. I think the prizes, although they are great ones,
are not what its about. Just the prestige of winning would be prize enough for me.
    cheers Kerro
