G'day team
At the bottom left is a button saying "thanks" ...
Is it poss to have a button saying "I agree with the above post" so that if/when I see someone else's comment, I can "agree" with it??

Of all the stuff in a busy photographers kitbag, the ability to see photographically is the most important

Hi, we have discussed this one before, and decided against it. Only cause if we keep adding more buttons as people want them, in the end no one will actually type anything, but rather just click a button.
When you click thanks, it says "The Following User Says Thank You to *User* For This Useful Post", so it is sort of saying you agree with it anyway. I have 'thanked' your post above so you can see.

We have also considered the thumbs up/down post or thread rating system and rejected that as it could get acrimonious (worst case)
You can also rate a thread - but that is not done very often - no one bothers
We also don't display the thanks stats, i.e. how many times you have been thanked as again it could get acrimonious; AP is not competitive in that sense

Digital & film, Bits of glass covering 10mm to 500mm, and other stuff
It's just as easy to type "as above, but also you could" or "I agree with above, this set looks great"

Okay guys & gals, blokes & shielas on the team ...
Yeah - I know that I can click "thanks" and have done so many times, but my take on this button is that someone is thanking "me" for a few words I have posted [hopefully of photographic wisdom]. I was only offering my 2-bob's worth for a 3rd party to say "yeah - I agree too, nice one ....... whatever whatever" - without clogging up the message list with just 1/2 dozen words & a sig block
Regards, Phil
Hi Phil. I also thought about the meanings of the "Thank you" button and thought that your "I agree..." would be covered. YOU certainly have no need to worry about clogging up space with your sig block
And "I agree.../Thank you for pointing it out..." that some are rather Tolstoyan.
