Can you clean a lens cleaning cloth?

Hey board members, I have one of those yellow lens cleaning cloths and I think it's a tad greasy from my fingers (I guess) - can I wash this in regular detergent to give her a new lease on life?

Why bother ? For the small price they are, just buy some new ones.

There are better and worse microfibre cloths, some worth keeping. They are meant to be washed in gentle detergent, maybe just dishwashing liquid or soap, but I wouldn't throw them in with the clothes (in the normal wash) in case they ended up with washing powder residue.

I chuck mine in the washing machine with clothes, then take them out at the end of the cycle and give it a good rinse under the tap, dry it and its ready to go.
