    Tokina 12-24 needs repair

I have managed to crack the front part of this lens, the plastic bit between the actual lens and filter thread.

It still works fine, but I expect at some stage it will cause problems.

Who in Melbourne would be able to repair this lens?

Chris, I would give camera clinic a call and see if they handle them or contact the Aus. distributors Adeal and ask them who handles their repairs normally.

Just a follow up on the repair of this lens at Camera Clinic in Collingwood.

March 2010 lens dropped off for quote, quote accepted and awaiting parts.
June 2010 call to check progress, still waiting for parts from supplier.
    August, October, November ditto
December retrieve lens to use over the Christmas break.
Jan 2011 call from CC to bring lens back in for repair.
They have been given an old lens to use for parts by the supplier.
Lens repaired and back in my bag, all good.

Lesson learnt that maybe some 3rd party gear not so good when it comes to repairs.

CC were very good, kept in contact and made repeated calls to the supplier.
