    Stone Temple Pilots @ The Hordern, Sydney. Just for fun ....

    Saw STP @ The Hordern last night. Rockin show.
    Photos arent fantastic but hey Ill share anyway ... Going again tonight to the more intimate venue, The Metro Theatre.
    All taken on the little NEX-5 at ISO6400.

    Shots arent that bad Darren, I think we have all seen worse. Grainy but good colour and certainly looks like you captured the mood/itensity of the concert.

    was just having some fun mate ..... its a bit fruitless to strive for technical perfection when youre getting smashed around by a bunch of sweaty teenagers

    they came up alright considering the circumstances and the super high ISO I spose.

    ps ... I actually think that some noise usually adds to live rock concert photography. Makes them look a bit gritty which is kinda cool.

    I reckon these are terific Darren considering the conditions and the high iso. Great little camera?

    I'm surprised you could stand there without wanting to punch Scot Weiland in the face, let alone take photos!

    Whys that mate ? I consider Weiland an extremely talented songwriter with an incredibly gifted vocal talent. Most of the good ones are a little f.... ed up arent they ?

    Absolutely mate. Great for stuff like this when the big cameras just arent an option. A little more reach might have been fun ... maybe ill keep my eye out for an 18-200

    yes you are right. We are off to see Santana on saturday and I`m thinking about taking the camera....maybe? Probably be a pain carting it and keeping an eye on it.

    Yep ... Thats unfortunate. I saw VR in LA in 2007 .... Good gig. Weiland was in good form.
