    Software Registration Codes

    G'day all

More & more often I find that I have to download s'ware over the net, so therefore I don't receive a CD with its rego number printed on the label
Thus I keep a small txt file of serial numbers for products [a'virus, photo, office, graphics etc etc] that is referred to occasionally when I need to reinstall stuff either after a system crash or as part of annual HDD cleaning

ps:- This note is prompted from an associated thread from Mongo describing his efforts to reinstall some software & the issues he's had - poor bugger has lost all his fur

    Hope it helps ...
    Regards, Phil
Of all the stuff in a busy photographers kitbag, the ability to see photographically is the most important

For DL software I usually create a key.txt file, put all the license info in that, then burn it and a copy of the SW download/installer onto a CD or DVD.

I keep my software license details in a .txt on my phone. That way if a HDD crashes, I always have a backup.
    Greg Bartle,
I have a Pentax and I'm not afraid to use it.

I keep an indexed notebook with all software licence info recorded, as well as burning a CD of the software and writing the serial/registration number on the disk.
