Question Pentax K7 Manual Focal Length question

    Hi Pentaxians

I'm playing around with some older lenses form the school here on my K7

I attached a Sigma 70-210 F4-5.6 UC-II AF Macro and the camera is asking to set the focal length.

since it has a range between 70-210, at which end do i set it?

According to the K7 user guide (p. 135), the lens focal length is required by the shake reduction when using a manual lens.
For a zoom lens, it says to set it to the focal length you're using.
So may not be much use if you're zooming in and out.
Not sure if the camera uses the focal length for anything else?
If you switch shake reduction off, it shouldn't ask you this.

    thanks,

i give up on trying to use it, I check other reviews around the net, most saying that they were dispointed with the clearity at the long end.
