    Filter question

Hey all I am looking at getting a 77mm hoya polarising filter for my sigma 10-20mm but does it have threads on both sides of the filter glass ?. The reason I ask is because I would still like to use my Grad ND filters and the filter holder screws into the front of the lens witch I am assuming that the polarising filter will be screwing into.

    Cheers Matt Shepherd

One thing to consider, you may/probably will get vignetting. Putting a standard CPL on my 10-22 produces vignetting at 10mm, so a slim CPL is preferred. Putting another holder on it will likely make things worse. I'm sure someone else who has that combo can confirm this??

What kind of filter holder are you using? I have a Cokin Z and have just bought a CPL that fits into the filter holder. This way you can still adjust the CPL without having to spin the filter holder. Not cheap but it is the easier option if you want to use CPL and ND filters.

If you get on to their website (or a suppliers website) you'll find there are some that are threaded both sides & some only male thread so you have to specify the one you want.
