    Speed flash?

    just wondering if there are differnces in speed flashes?

    You might need to explain your question a bit more

    If you are referring to speedlights yes they are all different powers, different features and different compatability and different prices

    hey thanks, are speed lights used as flashes?
    im only new to this, still getting around all the lingo and whats what.
    what would be a good flash for a beginer?

    ok, well, you have five nikon choices

    sb-400 - small. cheap. weak. not that flexible. cant command remotely
    sb-600 - smallish, reasoable power, quite flexible
    sb-700 - new - seems best all round flash for most casual users
    sb-800 - more powerful, can command remotely, flexible
    sb-900 - top of the line, powerful, command mode etc etc, feature rich

    so, sb-700 would be my pick

    ok thanks for that Kiwi, ill have a look at some prices and let you know how i go and what i get.
