Holga lens butchered to fit onto Nikon D3 fun!

    Hey guys,

I recently made the big decision to butcher the old Holga that sits on the shelf collecting dust, stripping the lens from the body and after a little filing and grinding (along with a custom vignette tube) got together a working lens that remained adjustable to focus from about 2 metres to pretty sharp throughout.

I just wondered, how many others have had a go at this and how did their results fare?

Some might say that it's pointless to strip the lens from a medium format toy camera just to put it onto a digital full frame SLR - I partly agree however cost of film and developing compared to a digital alternative on the D3 was too much to ignore!

If you did it - how did YOU do it?

It's well worth trying, and you did a good job.
Any lens, magnifying glass etc, will work. Exposure can be controlled with ND filters.
