Hey all
just a some test shots with my new Nikon D 7000 and my new Teleconverter TC -20 E III on a 70-200 f2.8 VR autofocus works well for those interested in the technical side of the shots please look at the Exif data
Interesting. We often see people saying do not use a 2x TC as the Image Quality drops off to much, and most recommend the 1.4x TC's over them. Going by your results here Helmut, it looks like the combination of body, lens and TC works very well. Sharpness looks to be maintained quite high. I bet you are impressed with the quality and added reach.
Are these straight from camera, or have you done some processing?

Shows it works nicely. I'd probably up the contrast in PP, but as your just demonstrating it - excellent.

Lovely sharp shots, especially the rosella!
I also have the 70-200 f2.8 VRII, 2x TCIII and the D7000 (and D700) and the combo is brilliant. This was my standard set up in Singapore at the Zoos and my results were also super sharp.

Thanks Helmut,
It does demonstrate well that Nikon have certainly produced a pretty good unit in that convertor.
Sharpness has been well maintained.
Thanks for posting
Yip, the new 2x certainly seems to better than any other from what I've seen better than the 1.7 as well
