i am thinking of upgrading to the 550d from digitalrev
Canon Kiss X4 Kit (18-55mm)+Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Mk II+Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC Memory Card +AFT LP-E8 Extra Battery $940.98, as a starting point.
interested in macro landscape, people
any help on other combinations would help

Looks like a nice starter kit to get into Digital SLR. If you're really interested in Macro, you might want to consider a set of Kenko extension tubes at some point.
