great series of holiday shots Darren. Its great to see whats over the other side of the world. Julie and I will be there next may and are really looking forward to it. Did you shoot these with the big camera or the new little Pen or Nex that you got?

Cheers mate. It was a great trip. The Riviera is beautiful.

Yea it was a bit of a mix ... I had the big camera for most of the sight seeing stuff and Bella was carrying the NEX around as well. I used that a lot at night when I couldnt be bothered carrying the SLR and it also performs better at high ISO ... 6400 is pretty good on the NEX.

I learnt a valuable lesson this time around (which I probably should have learnt about 3 OS trips ago ... ) I WILL NEVER EVER PACK A BIG BAG FULL OF GEAR AGAIN .... My 28-75 was the ONLY lens I used the entire trip.

Bel went mad with the shopping and I got slugged leaving Venice with 10kgs over my limits which cost me €400 !! If I hadnt have had my Lowepro pack as my cary on (and had just a normal carry on like normal people ) I would not have gotten that nasty bill ...

Yeah thanks for taking us along Daz, really like the ancient alleyways and the contrast between them and the high side of the Riviera.
    Enjoyed them all
