    K5 - My first pics

Treated myself to a new K5 to replace my k10D, unfortunately I have had little opportunity to get out and have a play over the last week or so.

Managed to snap this guy in the back yard though.

Beautiful photo of the bird crystal clear & very sharp.
The snail is also very good. I had to look twice to see it was not real.

    Well done

That 17-70 looks very good as a kit lens replacement, you snail is magnificent. And the lorikeet is wonderful, they are such shy little beggars, you have to be quick (or them used to you being about) to catch them! Wonderful shots

Weather has been crap recently, and I've been otherwise busy but another shot from the other day with the Sigma 70mm 2.8

I've been wrong before!! Happy to have constructive criticism though.Gear used Canon 50D, 7D & 5DMkII plus expensive things hanging off their fronts and of course a "nifty fifty".

I have a bag of Canon gear - but when a friend sought advice, as he was buying his first SLR, I suggested he look very carefully at the Pentax. I had a play the other day and was veritbly transfixed. A fantastic feel, quality ++ and now these shots! - I am glad I ushered him into Pentax territory.

    hahahaha

Glad you said, I would would get flamed .

The K5 looks compelling - even against the D700, cant wait to do a comparison for myself.
