Talking Anyone have Panasonic DMC FZ 40??

    Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has the Panasonic DMC FZ40 and if so what do you think of it. I cannot seem to find any reviews on the camera and my current Olympus
    -C770 is fading away.
For some reason no matter what the photos are coming out blurry. Had the camera for 5 years and never a problem.
Looking for something lighter than my dslr with at least 10x zoom as that is what my Olympus is and I have been happy. Not many are good with low light.
If anyone has any other suggestions would be more than happy to hear from you.

    Cheers,
    Carrie

Do not know about the FZ 40. Can say the older FZ28 id truly excellent. Hopefully, two upgrades later, the FZ40 should be even better ??

    G'day Carrie

The FZ-40 seems to be almost identical to the FZ-100 ... both were released on the same date in Feb this year
The FZ-100 is the better of the two - slightly better specs where the specs differ - and $50 more in listed price

Photographic differences are - the FZ-100 has
    - external flash shoe [if you ever want it]
    - 11fps burst mode [against 2fps]
    - 460,000 dot LCD [against 230,000 dots]

If you want this model I suggest you go for the FZ-100
If you want the previous FZ-35 or even the FZ-28, you can still get them in various places

Hope this helps a bit ...
    Regards, Phil

See review here. I have the FZ35 and it is a very good little camera but suffers noise in low light and at ISO 200 and up.
