Sharpening........whats the difference between them all??

Hi all........so ps has different sharpening methods.........the sharpen, sharpen more, sharpen edges, smart sharpen and unsharpen mask...........and then I found an action which does high pass sharpening.........
I have fiddled with them all and can almost see what they do but would like advice on the specific uses for each one.........

Why would you choose one method over another for an image? Or for a specific type of image? Or a look you are going for? Or print or web?

you need to choose the sharpening method that works best for you. it is a matter of trial and error. Have a look at this thread for some discussion on sharpening and different ways to do it: http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...eed-SHARPENING
