    Nikon 200-400 VR1 plus TC14-EII

Tried the 200-400 at the track for the first time today. Out of interest mounted the TC14-EII = 550mm!!. Here's a sample of the results. What do you think?

How are you holding/mounting the camera lens combo - monopod, tripod or other?

    Hi Gordon.

I reckon they probably needed about -0.3 to -0.7 exposure compensation(relative to the exposures you got), but #1 looks to be very sharp at least.

Images #2 and #3 are the same image posted twice. Were you trying to post three individual images here?
going by #1, I reckon you got a brilliant combo there.

It is a great lens and in that bright light the TC works well. 1 is a good sharp shot, a little tighter on the right I feel would suit better, and a bit of -ve exp comp as already mentioned.

Thanks, yes agree with the -ve comp. I am pp on a laptop, I think I need to go back to the desktop or attach a decent monitor. Two of the same is an error, can't edit the post tho
