    D2X picture Control Options

I have just d/l the extra pictures control setting from the D2X onto the D300

Mode 1:skin tones reproduced naturally & rich reproduction of tones
Mode 2:suits images that will be extensively processed or retouched(dont know about that one)
Mode 3:Nature and Landscape greens and blues vividly reproduced

Anyone else thoughts otherwise do you see the difference ?
    Mode 2 sounds complicated

    cheers

Mode 1 does do very natural skin tones, I use it as the base setting whenever people are involved in a shot.

I'm assuming Mode 2 would be similar to Canon's 'faithful' picture style setting. Pretty much just tones down sharpening, saturation, contrast etc. Nothing wrong with that, just means you'll have to adjust more in the RAW conversion later on. Mode 1 sounds more useful though, you can still adjust whichever way from that if you wish.
