    Mb d10 question

I am looking at getting the mbd10 for my d300. Do I need the el4 battery to get the 8fps speed? I can not seem to find clarification for this.
A heap of Nikon stuff and some really bright lights!

Have been looking into this since getting my D300s and to my understanding yes we do need to use the el4 battery.
Feel free to edit any of my pictures.

Yes, you do, but you can also use 8x AA.

To get the 8fps, you will need either the tray that holds 8xAA's or the enel4 or enel4A, but to use either if the enel4 derivatives, you will also need the BL-3 battery chamber door, which is usually sold separately.

Cheers all. That make sense now. I think I will just use the AA's.

The enel3 battery that comes with the D300/700 will not charge an enel4/a, you will need the MH-21 or 22(dual) charger, or an aftermarket Phottix to charge them.
