I'd use the quick mask mode and 'paint' out the area you want to select. Bit of info on it from google http://www.elated.com/articles/photo...ick-mask-mode/
Although, I reckon that shot is fixable without doing separate adjustments.

well it's a large coral, I wanted the coral to be less contrasty than the fish
anyway, it's more wanting to learn how to do masking
