    Sony A300 vs Canon 1000D

I have 2 nearly new cameras (long story). One is Sony Alpha 300 the other Canon EOS 1000D. The Sony has a Sony 18-70 lens and I have an old, working but bit stiff Sigma 75-300mm 1:4-5.6f . The Canon has only an IS 18-55mm lens.

I want to buy a 400mm+ zoom. The zoom required for morning soccer in winter and afternoon cricket in summer.

Which camera should I keep and which should I sell?
    Which lens should I buy?

    All comments appreciated

Sell both, buy a Nikon D7000 and a Sigma 150-500mm

    Problem solved.

No more sticky lenses, no more quality worries, just worry free photography.

Nikon, Fuji, Nikkor, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and too many other bits and pieces to list.
