    which one

    It looks like the Nikon 7000 will be around $1799au.if you could pick up a new 300s for $1850 which way would you lean and why?

    At that price, D300s because I don't really care for the HD movies or need extra megabytes. But if the dynamic range of the D7000 is better or if you get an additional stop better high iso performance, then I would go D7000.
    Better control layout and autofocus on D300s would do it for me.

    yes, a tricky decision to be made here. I`d also go for the D7000 if the iso performance and dynamic range were better than the 300s. I can`t imagine a price tag this high though. It wouldn`t make sense to be this high when it`s only $1199US and our dollar value is into the 90`s ATM???
