K20D and 3rd Party Battery Grip

    Hi

I'm looking at a 3rd party battery grip (Tavor) for my K20D.

Was wondering if anyone is using a 3rd party grip and what your thoughts on them may be.

    Cheers

The grip I'm looking at is a 'Travor' and not Tavor as I posted.

In the ebay ad, the pics look identical to the genuine item.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I've just emailed the seller asking them to clarify that it is the grip shown in their ad with the three locating pins, and not the one shown on the header without the pins.

The link has ended now. Drats!. Many of the others I have looked at on ebay lack the controls other than shutter and power switch. You have to read the text carefully as it does not always match the photos they show.

I thought about getting an Ebay grip for my K20D but the local camera store lowered the price on the display grip so I decided to get that instead, yeah it cost more but at least I knew it would work properly and last a good while. Still, there seems to be some good grips around and if needed I would get one. As for the Pentax grip, I couldn't really fault it unless I wanted to get real picky.
