Canon changes L series tint; lens now whiter.

    Quote from press release

    Quote:
Photographers will immediately notice that the latest Canon L-series telephoto lenses and extenders have a more neutral white tone compared to earlier models. This new shade of white will be used with all L-series telephoto lenses and extenders beginning in the second half of 2010

Charming, it's like buying a Honda - 6 months later they bring out a new model and now mine looks old.
Folk will say "oh I see you have one of Canon's old cream lenses" when I only got it in June.

I think you will find that is the whole point.

There will always be those who need to have the newest, latest things - and be BE SEEN to have them as well.

    Canon seems to know this.

Rather like football teams who change their jerseys every 6 months.
