    Photographs to sell

I have thirty 20 x 30 inch prints that I would like to mount with a matt and backing to sell in a small winery. Does anyone know of a good framer in Perth WA that would do this at a good price? What would be the best materials to do this? I am not going to frame them, that will be up to the customer. Also what would be a fair price to put them at as I am new to all of this. Thanks

I don't think we can give you a fair price. You need to find the framer, find out the costs, put that with your costs to get the prints done, and your time to do it all (hourly rate) and then double the total cost to you, for a fair selling price.

Framing shops are all over the place these days. The yellow pages might be a good place to start.

Oh, and welcome to AP, hope we get to see some of your photos up for critique soon.

Still take caution with who you choose. Someone we knew purchased a stunning artwork from a street artist, and afterwards took it to get framed as it was a birthday present. First this frame shop couldnt find a frame the right size, then they didnt have any backing board, so they reversed the cardboard footy poster that came with the frame they thought would be ok (although a little big), then they glued the beautiful artwork to this piece of board, and then used what looks like a piece of $2 rope for the hanger (mind you it is crooked and messy as hell - not sure how hard attaching a piece of string to a frame should be).

The person there was either highly inexperienced or wasnt actually supposed to be framing artwork (perhaps they had someone they sent custome jobs to as they were in a shopping centre and had no workshop). Either way they shouldn't have touched it.

You could try these guys, they specialise in bulk frames at a reasonable cost and will mail order. They will customise for a quantity order, like yours. I bought some recently and was happy with the end the result.
Consider this, at a main street framer near me, I recently had a screen print I bought in Japan for $15 framed and it cost $150 to frame.
The option above is going to work in your favour when teying to settle on a price to sell them at.

There is a framing shop on great eastern highway, near midland gate shopping center, don't know how much they cost though.
