    My first camera

My first camera was given to me by my father. It was a Zeiss Ikonette, which he had bought quite a few years previously - it took tiny photos, these first prints are approx. 6 x 4cm.

    Wentworth Falls, March 1954

R.A.S. Easter Show, Sydney April 1954

    Botanical Gardens Sydney, August 1954

Hey, Toni. This sounds like the start of a good thread. I don't know if it's been done b4 on AP, but you've piqued my interest. I'm going to dig out my 1st cam and post a pique of it here too. Hang on... Am.

Couldn't agree more with the thread comments, there must be literally hundreds of "first cameras" belonging to members, must try to dig out my old Kodak

I've been wrong before!! Happy to have constructive criticism though.Gear used Canon 50D, 7D & 5DMkII plus expensive things hanging off their fronts and of course a "nifty fifty".

I could probably dig out 1 or some, but they are in the country - somewhere. It'll take some weeks but I'll c what I can do. Am.

PS via Edit: I found a user manual, and quite a few other references to my camera via Google.

I checked on Google too - the Ikonette was produced between 1929 and 1931. I hope people put their first cameras and some photos here. It would be good to see.
