Hi,
Took possession of my new Nikkor 70-200 2.8 a few weeks ago and it is everything I expected it to be. It is mounted on a D300s and I love taking sports action shots however I would like to know if I've got eveything set correctly to achieve the fastest focusing possible.

I shoot in aperture priority and have my camera set to spot metering and use both single servo and continuous focus with mixed results. 70% of my shots are sharp and in focus while the others have missed the subject or the suject has moved too fast for the focus to keep up or correct focus hasn't been achieved quick enough. Do I have the camera set correctly for fast sport action?

Regards,
Tony
