Sigma 10-20mm - which one do you have?

I was wondering which version of the Sigma 10-20 you use?

Today I noticed that while a lot of people list this lens in their signatures, some don't specify whether it is the F3.5 or the F4-5.6 ( I have ammended our signature)

We use the older one, and are very happy with it, and would rather spend our money on other lenses- but if you had your time again, which one would you choose?

I went the 4-5.6 and am very happy with it. If I had the time again I probably would make the same decision and still be happy. However, had I not had the constraints I had at the time I might have instead gone for a completely different brand and faster lens (IE an F2.8 wide of some description).

I am looking at all UWA options for a Canon EOS mount at the moment, thanks Di and Wayne for your help :-)

While I would also prefer to buy a faster lens than the 4-5.6, I wonder if the sensor in my Canon 550D would nicely compensate for the lack of speed the 4-5.6 lens has? Shooting at 1600 or even 3200 is not a problem really.

Interested to hear comments on the f3.5, it seems relatively uncommon from what I can gather.

I have the 4-5.6 and and am very happy with it. When I purchased this the 3.5 had only just been released and as a wide angle lens it will mostly be used for landscape and building shots where F11 - F22 would be used I didn't feel the extra dollars for F3.5 were justified.

Got mine 4-5.6 nearly 2 years ago and Im very very happy with it, actually take this lens everywhere with me, does brilliant job in places where you want to see lots but where is not much room and of course for landscape photography.

I've had the f/4-5.6 for nearly two years and as most of my landscapes are done f/11 thru f/22 it really does not matter.

AFAIK they are both great lenses. The f/4-5.6 being around $150 - $200 cheaper.
http://www.photozone.de rate the f/4-5.6 half a star better IQ wise, but if you look at there reviews I don't think there is a practical difference.
