    Sigma 50 - 500

Hi there guys, i dont know if i haveposted this in the correct place, but I would like ti find out some information on a lens that I am about to purchase.

I am currently looking at the sigma 50 - 500 mm F4-6.3 EX DG HSM lens for a canon camera.
I would like to see if this lens is compatible with the canon 5d mk ii which I am also buying.
Is this lens designed to be used with a full frame sensor? Is there a crop factor with the lens? Any help would be much appreciated as I would like to know befor I shell out 900 bucks for it, to find out that it wont work.

    Cheers guys...

doesnt come with OS i understand. the 150-500 which i have does. there is little if any difference in picture quality between the 2 but seeing the 150-500 has OS its more hand holdable than that which is affectionately refered to as the bigma (50-500)

if kyou want to see what the 150-500 look in the birding section for myself or feral1 (and a few others).

The Sigma 50-500 f/4 - 6.3 is the old Bigma. A good lens witha good reputation.
The new model 50-500 is f/4.5 - 6.3 and retails for about #1,800. It has OS and some low dispersion glass. It comes with an interesting "step down" filter ring if you are using it on an APS-C camera

There is also the cheaper 150-500 with OS
