Velcro type strap to fasten a tripod to a backpack??

    Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a product (velcro type strap thingy) to fasten a tripod to a backpack? I have done a search and can't find any post that covers this and my local bag store and hardware store didn't stock anything suitable. My Flipside backpck has a tripod pocket at the bottom - but the tripod is a little heavy and doesn't sit that well when just fastened by the buckle mid way up the backback (even when I take the centre column out). Anyone have a way to do this? I was thinking of an occy strap - but as I want it to probably to run around the inside of the backpack I want it to sit flat.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions

P.S. I realise the tripod is probably a little heavy for the backpack but want to attempt to use it anyway

Thank you Kevin - I never thought of securing the tripod through the top carry handle I could use just about anything with this method

    Cheers and thanks again!

Velcro make a product called 'One Wrap', it has loops on one side and hooks on the other. Should be able to find it at Spotlight or other sewing and craft stores.

If you can't find it there check out Officeworks as I found some there, or failing that PM me and I will arrange some from work as we sell it.
