    CF Cards and Speed Q

    Hi all

    I'm looking at getting a new CF memory card for my Nikon D300. I currently have 2 x 8g @ 30mbs and looking at adding 1 x 16g.

Is it worth spending double the $ for a 60mbs?
I understand that it'll transfer to the PC faster but will the camera take advantage of the extra speed?

I don't tend to shoot a full burst mode very often.

    Thanks
    Pep

    ahh, good question !!

D300 max write speed to a CF card is I believe around the 30mbs

So, no, I dont think a 60mbs card will effect that part of the process at all

    Wow Darren that was quick!!!

Thanks for the reply, i haven't been able to confirm the write speed of the D300.
At double the price between it makes a big difference to my ability to get one
(wifes approval required, not that i'm complaining she did let me get the rest of my gear. next thing to work on.............2.8f lens!!!!!!!)
