If you have an iPhone you can download an app called the photographers ephemeris. Check it out on the web too.

    Sunshine and Shade in Australia

I use the CSIRO publication Technical Report 92/2 "Sunshine And Shade In Australia" to set me up for precise shooting times, as I deal with Real Estate and Architectural photoshoots.
It is a comprehensive book specifically for the Australian continent.
The book has diagrams and a transparent protractor to overlay on these charts.
Every city and town has its unique settings. Wagga Wagga would be slightly different from Sydney, as would Hobart and Darwin.
For Sydney metro, I use the Latitude 35° South chart to plot the solar behaviour.
I last saw the pricelist for the book at $34.95 from Architext bookstore.
    Published by CSIRO.
    Cheers!

MrV - I've been using the Photographer's Ephemeris for the last 2 months for seascape work and I love it. You can find it here : http://stephentrainor.com/tools/
    Well worth the download.
