    Canon 450D and Canon 270EX

Just needed a quick "heads-up" as to whether the 270EX flash can be made to fire on rear curtain when fitted to the 450D?
I don't have either of them with me but by the time I do I just need to know if it can be done?

I've been wrong before!! Happy to have constructive criticism though.Gear used Canon 50D, 7D & 5DMkII plus expensive things hanging off their fronts and of course a "nifty fifty".

Maybe a little late to the party but i dont see why not. Even the camera body flash can be set to rear curtain.

Thanks for that, it is exactly what I thought too, I did have the units together tonight but there is something wrong with the flash and probably bad batteries stopped the 270 from switching on.
I was just wondering if these 270's being a basic unit, are NOT capable of rear synch but some new batts. and try, try again....cheers

It should be in the 'custom functions' section of your menu

    Canon 400D | 60mm f2.8 | 18-55mm | 75-300mm| 50mm f1.8 | 430EXII | Photoshop CS4

Yes I knew where to go to external flash functions but when I posted the thread I had never seen a 270EX and since they're not very expensive I thought they might not be capable of rear synch., thanks for all the help people
