    Inappropriate content - Pornography

There is nothing like a catchy thread title.

For the last few years I have maintained some of my images on a Picasaweb site including several black and white nudes.

A couple of nights ago I was advised by picasawebgoogle.com that some of my images had been removed as they violated the Terms of Service as being obscene and pornographic. Funny thing is they have been on the site for well over a year with hundreds of hits and no complaints and have also been entered in National competition, again without complaint.

Anyway I took the opportunity to remove all of my images and am now looking for a new temporary home until I get my own website.

Are there any suggestions as to where artistic nudes images will not be vilified by an unnamed and un contactable censor?

Photobucket lets you create private albums that are not visible to anyone unless you give them access, but at the same time you can link the photos to other sites still.

I think there's a world of difference between nudes and pornography.
Two totally different concepts for me.
    Cheers David.

Thanks, I have been on DA for many years but the interface is not simple and the emphasis is not on the images.

I agree but the "fat controller" thinks otherwise, it is their site and their rules (even if the rules change) so my only option is to delete the lot.

Thanks Rick I will check it out, I am not worried about the images being seen just sick of changing rules and site conditions. Two of the model sites I was on (OMP and MuseCube)decided to charge an annual fee so many photographers left, then a couple of years later I was bombarded by emails begging old members to return for free.

Amazingly, out of millions of intermediates, it only takes one lefty conservative to put in a single complaint to upset things in this way.

Why would a lefty conservative be searching through artisic nudes one might ask?

Flickr appears to be pretty free and open with....ahem...... just about anything. You may need to do some self censorship (I.E., restrict photos), but from what I can see, anything can be posted.

From what I can see of the AP rules my images would safely comply here, I will check out Flickr as well, thanks.
