I was playing around with one of these last night (the only one in the country apparently) and it indeed a beautiful (but heavy) camera.
The controls are very similar to those on the K20/K7 - even has the green button!
The view finder was incredible - big and bright!
2 SD card slots looks like a winner as well.

Does any one want to buy a kidney at about $14K, that's probably going to be the only way I could afford one!
I would love to use this camera with a macro lens - the detail would be astounding!

    "... and it sounds great."

Wow we'd all better run out and buy one.

    I'm envious

I have more chance of owning a 645D than a 'blad but still very unlikely

Well, I hope they do well with it.
Price wise it stacks up against the proven current king of high resolution DSLRs in the Nikon D3x and sensor format wise it appears to be pretty well head to head with the Leica S series.

Like the other two, it is a specialised camera for a specialised market and I can see plenty of reasons for owning both it and the Nikon but strangely the thought of outlaying mega dollars just to have the Leica brand name in the bag simply doesn't work for me.

Here's a link to a hands on review of the 645D from an actual (Perth) photographer not just a tech head

    http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/p...nger-play.html

The 100% crop of the eye is pretty awesome. (the photographer is into some pretty alternative stuff though)
There are two types of people in this world -
West Perth supporters and the misguided.
