I had my 400D sensor cleaned by Camera Tech at 89 Charlotte Street, Brisbane at the same time as I had a lens repaired. Cost was $75 for sensor and it came back clean.

Wow, that's expensive for a sensor cleaning! Had mine done at the Canon Service Centre here where I live in South Korea and it cost the equivalent of $9.50

Will be heading back there the week before I leave to come back home and learning how to do it myself in the meantime I think.

Just out of interest, it'd be nice to know how Canon Service Centres in Australia justify $120+ to clean a sensor. As I mentioned above, it's $9.50 at a Canon Service Centre here in Korea (actually $9.00 on current exchange rates). Got mine done and it made a huge difference. Are they charging $110 to take some photos of your sensor?

it's a 30 dollar job imho, 1-2 hours is a joke takes 10 minutes max, blatant propaganda by manufacturers should be ignored when not in the best intrest of the consumer......
