    unfortunately I have heard of this one, these guys rang my friend not once, but twice. Thankfully he wasn't stupid enough to fall for it

    Sadly, there are many who probably will. It pays to know as much as you can about how your computer works but many people don't want to. They are the ones who get caught in scams like this.
