    Indian Miners Can't Jump

Who said Indian Miners cant jump ?

I know the photo is technically a shocker but I like the moment.

    G'day Darey

Hey mate --- this is NOT an Indian Miner
It's the genuine Aussie Noisy Miner (minor??)

The Indian import, common name "flying cane toad" is brown, black head, white spots in flight feathers, as seen when in the air

    Regards, Phil
Of all the stuff in a busy photographers kitbag, the ability to see photographically is the most important

Ozzie's right... Noisy Miner, Manorina melanocephala.

As you say, the capture of the moment here is less important than the technical quality (to me, at any rate). The technical aspects would have been fine if the bird hadn't chosen that moment to demonstrate its jumping skills, but that's bird photography for you.

There ya go, just shows I have a lot to learn about Bird Photography. I've got to learn the bird identities first.

Thanks for your viewing and commenting folks.
