It's the genuine Aussie Noisy Miner (minor??)

The Indian import, common name "flying cane toad" is brown, black head, white spots in flight feathers, as seen when in the air

Ozzie's right... Noisy Miner, Manorina melanocephala.

As you say, the capture of the moment here is less important than the technical quality (to me, at any rate). The technical aspects would have been fine if the bird hadn't chosen that moment to demonstrate its jumping skills, but that's bird photography for you.

There ya go, just shows I have a lot to learn about Bird Photography. I've got to learn the bird identities first.
