    Tamron 200 - 500

I am not sure if I am all that happy with my recent purchase of a Tamron 200-500 lens. I have been using a Nikon 400 Zoom hand held without issues however don't seem to be able to do so as easy with the Tamron?

what are you using it for? What camera settings? Not really enough information in this thread to give you any advice at all. Also even though your username suggests you are a pro, these superzooms are not designed to match a high quality pro lens.

Being the owner of a super zoom, I am surprised you are wanting to hand hold these lens, it's definitely not recommended, not saying it's not possible, but you'll be throwing away a lot of images. At a minimum I would use a monopod, or you'll be dead on your feet by 1/4 time at a sporting match. But like Rick said, more info required.
