    "Backwards compatiability" for canon cameras

    Hi All

Just wondering when you buy a more advanced camera than your previous one,and you want to opperated both,at different times from your lap top,via EOS utility.

Do you have to load the software independent of each other?,Like I have canon 450D with the software it came with in computer, all works well, but the 50D does'nt work with the 450D software.

If I upload the 50D software, should I label a folder for it to go into, away from 450D software.

or just loade it it,at let it blend itself into the current software,-will it still control 450D or only 50D??

    thanks for any advice,cheers!

The newer software is just an update, it is not different.

It will support all the previous models as well as the current models.

I had a 350D when I got the 7D. Loaded up the new software and the only issue I found was one function was not possible with the 350D. Otherwise no difference.
