Help! Resized image shows as to large when I upload

Hope someone can help please. I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager to resize my image so it is less than the required size including the KB file size but when uploaded I keep getting the message that my photo is to large. I have tried a few times without any luck.

i used to use that to resize my images and would save them as a document. I think even at a large document it would still save them under 250kb...
    Kind Regards, Deb

Thanks for responding Deb. I found I was resizing the copy on my portable hard drive but the upload was taking the copy on my computer which wasn't resized. All was okay once I realised. I'm still learning and make mistakes. Thanks again

Carol, bdsizer is a great bit of free software for re-sizing photos : http://www.photo-freeware.net/bdsizer.php

Just close the annoying pop-up ad when the sit opens.

Someone else might, but I don't use Apple, so have no idea.
