Priceless. ** (Runs & get Ventolin because laughing so much caused an asthma attack.) **

Thank you so much. I really needed (Nerded) that!

Got a cat you can borrow if you really want one.
It's great with roaches. Only takes her a day or two to kill them. Usually in the shower. Watch where you step in case it goes crunch!

It's funny this came up tonight.

I just got back from talking to my Dad. He went out to shoot a garden a week or two ago and fired up his old Nikon to find a bug in his viewfinder. He's got no idea how it got there and figured it'll just die.

I was laughing my head off as he was telling me how he had to wait for the bug to get out of his way so he could take the pic.

Just put it into a plastic bag, suck out as much air as you can, seal it up and leave for a few days until the bug stops moving (I have no idea how long it takes to suffocate a bug) - the options of mortein, microwave and freezer would not appeal to me for my camera.

I would have thout a bug could live for months even with a little air left, I suppose I could vacuum seal the camera. Might make it hard to use in the morning though

Ok, getting completely scientific here now, I remember collecting bugs for a biology assignment in high school and putting them in the freezer to euthanase them. Perhaps you should put your D3 in the deep freeze overnight? And then in the morning you could pin it to a piece of foam board with a label stating its common and Latin names.

No, I think you're getting confused with Canon taxonomy there.

    How about trying this method:

Place the D3 in a plastic bag
put in 3 or 4 moth balls
    Seal bag and leave overnight
Check for dead bug in morning

If bug is still alive apply sledge hammer several times.
That will get the little Bug-ger.

I suspect your Latin education is about as extensive as mine! I also suspect both of us should spend a little more time working and a little less time APing. (But that won't happen!)

Your D3 bug is an add-on designed to make 1D users jealous. Obviously they don't understand, Kiwi. Let it be.

Add one large spider to eat the bug
Add one bird to eat the spider
add one cat to eat the bird
add one dog to eat the cat
Call the council dog catcher to get the dog, problem solved
