big congrats, out of curiosity, how do you get an article in australian photography like that? do you just submit with a story?

It was an interesting process really.
Marianne sent a few magazines our website and asked them if they would want us to write anything. The editor said he was interested in a story and wanted us to write about iceland for the upcoming june edition (this was in late march) - but then realised that Darren leal was already writing about antarctica.
So he then asked us to write about our Yunnan experience with guidelines for a template set out and word count limit etc. We had a 2 week deadline, submitted it, he was happy to sub edit and that's all we heard between early april and now.
We presumed we were just going to be acknowledged but only last night, we unexpectedly got a check for our efforts! a much healthier check than we could have expected as well.

I guess the bottom line for us was - never be afraid to try your luck! someone might notice

We may even get a chance to put the original planned article about iceland in later this year after our return trip there.

I receive a copy through the APS and whilst flicking through, before I'd even read the article, I thought how cool the pics were and how I'd love to go there some time!!
