cs3/4 chroma key removal

HI Any clues for backround removal of chroma key backround and is blue better for shadow reduction than green

my concept is 3m x 6m backdrop and photograph a horse using 2 sets of lights
1 on back dropand a set of stobes on the horse. Then remove the chroma key backdrop and
replace with a series of back rounds
