How Much to Charge for CD cover?

There is a possibility that one of our images will be used on a CD cover. Myself and my business partner have not dealt with this sort of purchase before. I am hoping that some one can help me work out how to decide on an appropriate price.

Well, if it is Bob and his bottle top band from around the corner, $5.00 should just about do it.
If Lady Gaga has your home # in her speed dial I would look at nothing under 7 figures and then ongoing royalties.
Really it will all boil down to how much that you feel the image is worth, how much the customer is willing to pay and where the rights to usage of the image end up.
If you sign away all rights for the future and they then on sell the image for 6 times that which they originally paid you will be a little peeved.
