    Poor Puppy :( (Again)

Ah joys - now in a splnt for 4-6 weeks after fracturing a growth plate below his ulna in front leg - really hoping the surgical vet tomorrow doesnt want him to have surgery on it....

not a great shot but shows the splinting ....

Dogs can do things and annoy us when they get hurt. I have a Shitzu x Poodle she went into neighbours yard and their dogs thought she was a small fluffy toy, She only ended up with 7 broken ribs, She got the all clear last week.

I hope your dog heals well soon and goodluck at the vet, hope it dosen't need surgery.

Thanks Mary Anne and Jodster .. unfortunately vet thinks does need surgery but understands cant afford an 800 operation after this (want to staple the growth plates to the bones) so we are going to see if any turning on the joint in 2 weeks and then decide...

Thanks Lani, Edgewing and Jim...Lani we have no idea what actually happened - woke up and he was limping so did something to it over night :/ Jim yes is getting lots of attention cause has to be kept inside cause of the splint as cant get it wet and of course its been raining nearly all day the last few days..

Was speaking to the vet today and they said they may be being overley cautious in suggesting the surgery as they don't exactly know how much growth he has left to do - 2 weeks will tell if surgery needed really hope wont need it
