Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement for the standard Canon neckstrap? I really want some that can go across the body, so that the shoulders hold the weight, yet can quickly be moved into a shooting position.

Scott Kelby recommends one in one of his books. Cant think what its called. Allows the camer to rest at the side and then slide up the strap to shooting position. Was mentioned for use by Tog using two cameras to allow the second one to be brought up into position quickly when required.
Ah ha...google it and found this:

The one across the body is "Black Rapid" but you will need to get it OS as no one here has them.

Is this what you are after? It is more like a harness.

I used a black strap made by OP/Tech USA from Michael's Camera Store in Melbourne
http://www.michaels.com.au/index.php...3902&Itemid=54
It's made of neoprene and stretches slightly, it can be unclipped in two places if it gets twisted. I've been using mine for the last two years without problems.
They have a wide range of neck or wrist straps in different colours and sizes. I wanted to get rid of the bright red Canon strap.
