    Battery question 1D range

Does anyone know if you can get an adapter to take commercially available batteries, either AA or some other size, for the 1D series (i have a 1DsMkII). Similar to the insert you get with a battery grip for the prosumer OES DSLRs. I emailed Canon Australia but have had no reply.

I'd love to be able to leave the heavy and bulky recharger at home when I trot off ot NZ soon, and just buy batteries as I go round.

It would be nice simply for the fact those batteries die in the butt after a couple of years and cost $200 to replace with a canon branded battery.
    Using a 7d or a s95
