Option of Antiglare matte screen or glossy - Macbook Pro

As many may or may not know, the new Macbook Pro line has been released.

I'm in the market for one, and currently deciding which is the best for my uses. The 15" have an option for:

    - 1680 x 1050 Hi-Res Antiglare matte screen
    - 1680 x 1050 Hi-Res Glossy Screen

I intend to calibrate it, and also an external monitor.

So question is, glossy or matte?

Any help clarifying this would be great.

If you intend to use it outdoors a lot then I would recommend the matt screen. My 13" MBP has the gloss screen (they only come that way) and in very sunny situations these screens are very hard to use on any notebook.

The high gloss screens are great otherwise.

I have read in a few places that matte is the preferred choice for photographers. Enjoy your new beast!

That's what I thought also, I do like the glossy but for photo editing purposes I think the hi-res matte screen is the way to go. It's a $180 difference from standard.

    Thank you!
