Published - Twice -Front Page of "the Australian

    Hi Guys

What a week!!! Took a photo Tuesday for the Daily Telegraph's "I Promise" Campaign and its on Page 16 of todays (Thursday 25/3) Telegraph. It's a photo of a family who lost their father in a car accident last year near Orange. Difficult photo to take.

Then at about 4:15pm yesterday i got a call from The Australian, can you take a photo of the local P&C President in front of her School.

5:00pm Arrived and took photo of her and her daughter (read article its re cost of school buildings being over the top)
    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/poli...-1225844979481

5:20 pm Five Trucks arrive with school buildings - We didn't know they were coming. Used initiative and took photo of subjects in front of trucks.

    6:15 File photos

9:15 Get email saying story and my photo is now PAGE 1..... Check out the front page of The Australian or online at

    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/

My photo is #1 of 4 scrolling.....

    Am i stocked or what.....

Jeff, I have a morning routine of having a look at a few online newspapers and The Australian is one of them. Today I saw the scrolling pics on the front page and gave a quick thought to the design of the building with the verandah already attached and then the width of the building segments clearly shown in the shot.
At no time did it enter my head that it might have been taken by an AP member so it's great to find out that it is your shot on the front page.

Thanks guys & gals for the nice comments:
    1. Yes i will be paid - sorry can't say - but its was sure worthwhile and 1 job a day would be just mighty fine... (Have to invoice with ABN etc which i have)
    2. No more $ for the front page than if it was page 20... (but more Kudos)
    3. How did they find me. I did the Rugby game back in January (Waratahs V Fiji) for the Sunday Telegraph and now i'm on there database...
I got that job when the free local paper gave them my details...
I don't think i'm first on the list for Orange, but i answered the phone and said i could do the job.
They bumped the picture to front page because of the "news" part of the building arriving... and me capturing it... (he says patting self on back and head swelling...LOL)

Bit hard to concentrate at real work today as its my first day bacck after 2 1/2 weeks leave as i had 3 weddings on consecutive weekends.

Thanks Andrew, tried to show the "flimsy" nature of the costly building.

    Cheers all
